The Mindful Classroom

David Hughes & Shannon Witman

October 3, 2017

NELMS Conference Center, North Andover, MA

In a world of distractions and overstimulation, students need mindfulness. Mindfulness is the ability to calm down, become aware, and focus. In this workshop, teachers and counselors will leave with strategies and activities to use every day in their classrooms. These strategies and activities teach students ways to reduce anxiety, improve attention/focus, self-awareness/reflection, resilience, and memory retention. Participants will leave with resources and tools.
