About the Event
This spring, the COVID-19 pandemic compelled educators to respond rapidly to government and health advisories. The summer months will provide administrators with time to formulate a plan for the fall. Though the guidance about our schools’ reopening is an evolving landscape, it is not too early to begin the conversation. Drawing from what schools have done overseas and initial guidance from health and government officials in the United States, school administrators can and should start to develop questions that might inform plans for school resuming this fall and to determine who might be a part of those conversations. Join us for an opportunity to discuss, share ideas, and network with other schools in thinking strategically for September.
The New England League of Middle Schools and Austin Prep are excited to collaborate on this critical topic. We will discuss these guidelines and some of the questions coming from them. Like:
★ · Who is on your school’s team?
★ · Questions that are arising from these guidelines.
★ · What are some of the issues that might need to be addressed?
Our panel includes:
● Michael McLaughlin, Head of Middle School, Austin Prep, Reading, MA
● Dr. Andrew Dolloff, Superintendent, Yarmouth Public School, Yarmouth, ME
● Jessica Lenci, Middle School Counselor, Austin Prep, Reading, MA
● Jeff Rodman, NELMS Executive Director
● And more to come
